Compost Consulting

At Inglis Environmental we provide you with compost collection services and also with compost
sales. There are companies that will collect or sell mulch and there is a significant difference
between the two. We focus on compost, but for those who don’t know about mulch, mulch  is
quite warm and has not completely biodegraded. It is completely organic and originates from a
combination of leaves, grass, brush and tree trimmings. It is primarily used on lawns, flowers or
gardens to conserve moisture, lower soil temperature and reduce erosion, provide nutrients,
reduce soil compaction and reduce the possibilities of weed growth. It will also contain many
pieces of wood and sticks.

Compost on the other hand has biodegraded to a greater level than mulch and screened finer
which makes it look more so like soil with lesser chunks.Compost is much better worked into the
soil. It replenishes the organic content of your soil.

Bulk compost sales are traditionally made by the yard for which you might have to bring a tarp for
your load or mechanical loading is also an option. The other metric that is used for compost sales
is by the bag. So you can bag your own compost and we will provide you with the yard waste bag
and a shovel or you can also bring your own. The industry standard for that is approximately around 65 lbs per bag. The other option is also to purchase pre-bagged compost which will be a
little more expensive, but you do save on sweat equity.

For compost collection services we can provide you with many resources in order to collect
compost by your door step. You will also help reduce landfill diversion in the process and help
sustain the ecology of your natural surrounding environment. We can help you keep a green
image by providing you with waste consulting and consolidated waste services that will include
garbage waste services and organic waste services. If you don’t have time to compost let us
guide you. We can provide you with a specific bucket that will be designated to collect the organic
waste that will be turned into compost and the frequency of those pick-ups will be relevant to your
household needs.
